To Socialize or Not to Socialize?

Socializing Should not be taken out of the Equation

The biggest part of Social Media is the Social part.

I read a few weeks ago a very interesting article by @thebrandbuilder (Olivier Blanchard) “The Social and the Media” in which he demonstrated how small details socializing with your customers can make a big difference.

Flying on the Jetbue #AYCJ I have been able to socialize not only with other #AYCJ pass Holders, Jetblue Crewmembers, and other Jetblue Fans via Twister and Social Networks.

The #AYCJ is the best example on how you can Use Social Media to give your customer the final option of Socializing.

I am going to Summarize my #AYCJ Stops they have not been many but very valuable.

1st Visit – North Carolina

My Uncle is battling cancer (for the second time) and I talk with him on multiple ocassions during the week via phone. My #AYCJ pass gave me the opportunity to spend two quality days with him at his house in North Carolina. I wish I would have extended my stay but I was very happy of having the opportunity to visit my Uncle after 5 years.

2nd Visit – Miami (Fort Lauderdale)
My second stop was cut short by a personal issue caused by one of the most notorious companies @mibanco that exist in Puerto Rico. I will soon speak more on the issue Banco Popular created for me. The time I spent in Miami was priceless I got the opportunity to spend time with my Childhood friend, his wife, and his two year old son. Not only did I visit South Beach for the first time I did it with a close loved one (which I wish where closer and more accessible to visit more often). I will always remember my first official visit to Miami as a unique one.

3rd Visit – Orlando

Before I started my Business I use to visit Orlando very often and most of those visits where to the Theme Parks. After I had to start my own Business I did not have the time of Money to visit Orlando and much less its Theme Parks (I Guess like many I was hit by the terrible economy of 2008 & 2009). I stay at one of the Disney resorts, which allowed me to interact and spend time with my other half. I also received an dinner invitation by someone I consider my friend which I met via Twitter @ricsam and had a great experience and the privilege of meeting his lovely wife.
My biggest surprise was actually walking at the Magic Kingdom (confirming it really is a magical place) by pure coincidence I bumped into one of my best friends from High School someone who lives in the DC Metro Area and I saw the last time in 2005. I also had the opportunity to meet up with other good old friends and spend some quality time with a few of them in just a few days.

For my next visits I plan to visit people who I have admiration and a lot appreciation that they are or have been a key piece of the puzzle of my life.
