Professional vs. Amateur Artwork
Prior to knowing what a great graphic artist could conjure, I tried my hand at creating artwork for clients. We had a great resource at CIMA IT Solutions that did awesome work and was very creative. I might have an advantage in creating graphic designs over my grandma’s friends but other than that I really struggle. It was not until I met Rick Lipsett that I was able to trust someone with most of the artwork and graphic designs needed for CIMA IT Solutions, my clients, and this blog.
The last few weeks I had Rick create an image to attract people to sign up for my newsletter. I had attempted to do the same for my CIMA IT Solutions’ blog but I did not get the results I wanted. So when I approached Rick, he quickly created something and sent it my way. I was amazed how great it looked and a few weeks later I had a several new readers sign up for the Newsletter than in the complete year the blog had been running.
Rick creates visually appealing pieces. I can create something that looks ok or better than what you can see on other sites, but Rick creates a masterpiece which catches the eye of anyone who stumbles upon it.
Professional and Clean
I create items that can end up having too much. Rick knows how to apply the correct amount of elements to trigger an emotion (he does the same with his writing) and make it look pleasing yet simple.
Rick is able to capture what your idea is and present it to you from many points of view with many options that go in line with the message you want to convey.
Balancing colors
When I don’t see how a color looks right with another, I have to do some research. Rick has all that research already in his head so the time he spends studying art is already stored in a central repository (his brain) which he can quickly retrieve and apply to the work.
Take a look at the original CIMA IT solutions logo made in word by me and then take a look at how Rick has fixed it; I do not need to say anything else:
Going with Rick for most of my graphic design and art work has brought me compliments (which should be his compliments) and positive results. So the next time you are planning to create your own art make sure you have the skills and the knowledge.
