Today while I was working on a blog for a client I ran into a status on Facebook mentioning that one of my favorite musicians Draco Rosa had been diagnosed with Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) after doctor’s discovered a tumor in his abdomen.
For those of you that are not familiar with NHL I have enclosed the Definition from WebMD.
Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) is cancer of the lymphatic system, which is part of the immune system. The lymphatic system is found throughout the body. When you have this disease, cells in the lymphatic system either grow without control or do not die as cells normally do. (excerpt from WebMD)
Last February I created a post on my admiration to Draco and how I thought his actions and personality fit as a good example on how to create a solid community in Social Media. I titled the post Would you follow Draco or Kanye’s footsteps?
For those of you that are fans of Draco like me it is time to put him in our prayers. I normally play a song or two of Draco a Day on my playlists I guess I will add a few more as a reminder to send good vibes his way.
I have seen how Draco is always reaching out to his public and ensuring to give them the best while keeping his feet on the ground.
I am happy that I have seen great support for him online via twitter and other platforms but don’t forget to send a prayer, blessing, good vibes, positive energy, in whatever form his way.
If someone has shown us how to persevere to be successful while not losing who they are, it is him. Recruit others to send great vibes and share your Draco Experiences; it is the least we owe him.
My last experience seeing him in-person was last year while he was signing his new CD at the Borders in San Juan (picture of signing above). He over stayed his signing to make sure all Fans got to shake his hand and get his autograph. Many public figures need to follow his example and every occasion I have been in a concert or have been in his presence he wins more of my admiration.
Are you a Draco Fan? If you are which is your favorite song?
Let’s hope we have Draco for a long time so he can continue to build his legacy?
For some strange reason people that are so talented tend to leave this earth quicker than we would want them to like Walt Disney, John Lennon, Kurt Cobain, and many others. Let’s make sure that our good vibes keep Draco with us so our Grandkids can enjoy his music while he performs live. I guess if Mick Jagger can do it let’s hope Draco has that same opportunity.
