Before twitter launched there official Ipad App I purchased Twittelator Pro as the app to handle multiple twitter accounts. Later on Hootsuite and Twitter decided to create Ipad apps. I have never been a fan of the Twitter official app on the Ipad although I do use it on my Iphone as my primary twitter app.

On the Ipad I am constantly switching on and off from Hootsuite into Twittelator using the latter as my primary app for the iPad.

I really like the layout of twittelator. It makes it easy for me to stay up to date on the tweets from everyone on the left side (when in landscape) while I can concentrate on right side on a tweet or other functions. The right side allows you to view your direct messages, mentions, trending topics, search, lists, drafts, and others such as:

  • Your Profile
  • Retweets
  • Channels
  • Everyone
  • Settings

Twittelator also makes it very easy to switch from one account to another. The feature that I have not seen on any other app is the channels features which gives you feeds on various topics and subjects of interests so you can read on twitter.

Overall I do recommend the twittelator app, I really got my money’s worth out of it.
If you want an awesome twitter client for the iPad feel free to review the rest of the features on Itunes.
