#LaVistaBloggers Was a Great Experience Thanks to @SanJuanMarriott
This past Friday my company, CIMA IT Solutions, was hired by the San Juan Marriott to help organize a Blogger’s Lunch at their restaurant La Vista Latin Grill. I really enjoy these type of projects because you get to be creative, spend time with other bloggers (and online influencers), enjoy an awesome meal, and build stronger relationships with clients. In this case we spent an afternoon with the San Juan Marriott and the bloggers that were invited.
While the Staff of La Vista Latin Grill were finalizing the last touches to the area where the bloggers were going to have lunch, we started with some drinks at the spacious lobby sponsored by the San Juan Marriott. This gave everyone the opportunity to meet each other and chat for a few minutes. Once the table was ready, we went down to La Vista Latin Grill, which is located on the 1st floor of the hotel right next to the pool with the slide (great for kids).
Once we were seated for lunch, we were greeted by the La Vista Staff and San Juan Marriott Marketing Team (Melissa and Cristina). Our table faced the beautiful view of the Atlantic. The waitress went around and got us our drinks. I had a refreshing lemonade.
Although it was a buffet style luncheon, the La Vista Staff recommended that I order the Veggie Burger a La Carte. It was one of the best Veggie Burgers I have had in a hotel, in the San Juan Area. I will be making a separate review on that item on Veglatino.com.
I had Emmanuel on the cooking staff guide me through the process of choosing the vegetarian options in the buffet area.
The diversity of options really surprised me. I was able to choose from quinoa, to couscous, fresh mozarella balls, a large fresh salad bar, mixed vegetables, and shredded cheese. It was so good I did not even care to ask what vegetables where in them.
Since I am vegetarian, I would highly recommend the La Vista Latin Grill buffet and deem it a Vegetarian Friendly option in the San Juan area. The staff was also extra vigilant to make sure that what I put on my plate was vegetarian which made me feel at home. If you have any dietary needs that need to be met, feel free to let the staff know and they will even create something for your needs.
My daughter Daniela was able to join us and was not left out. In case you are in the San Juan area and run out of baby food, the San Juan Marriott is probably the best place for this scenario to happen. The Chef at La Vista prepared some baby food for my daughter. This was her first prepared meal out of the house. @lucymfel prepares all of her meals at home and this gesture by the staff showed great customer service. A great reason to stay with your family at the San Juan Marriott.
We had a great afternoon in good company and with friends. I had the opportunity to meet a few new bloggers that I had interacted with online. I have to say that I can’t wait till we create a similar event. For those that followed the hashtag, an opportunity arose for a few lucky folks to enjoy a pool pass for a day after they answered a question posted by the San Juan Marriott.
To our surprise, we were presented with a special gift from @ivelissearroyo from @scentonality which I will be using.
I want to thank the San Juan Marriott for hiring CIMA IT Solutions, and allowing me to make a few local bloggers get an opportunity to show their readers what the San Juan Marriott is about while they enjoyed good company and a sponsored meal.
If you have a blog and would like to be contacted for future events, feel free to contact me and/or sign up to my newsletter. We would love to have more bloggers enjoy this kind of experience. Our hope is that more local companies follow the example of the @sanjuanmarriott.
Disclosure: The San Juan Marriott hired CIMA IT Solutions to assist with the coordination of this event. Even though our lunch was Complimentary on behalf of the La Vista Latin Grill and the San Juan Marriott, we don’t feel that this influenced the writing of this post in any way.
