La Perla at a Distance!
We were visiting El Morro Fort which has a historical connection to my family heritage.
At a distance, I did my best to capture the colors of La Perla.
Way before Daddy Yankee's Despacito, La Perla has been the cultural hub of many arts. Before the Hurricane Despacito helped La Perla become a Tourist Spot, after the hurricane there have been and are multiple efforts to help the residents of La Perla rebuild.
La Perla serves as a quick reminder of the many Puerto Ricans that live in poverty before and after Hurricane Maria but are very proud of what they have and work as a community to overcome whatever challenges they have.
