15 of My Favorite Ipad Apps

Since many friends have asked me about my favorite Ipad Apps I went ahead and create this list to share my favorite Ipad apps that are not games. In a future post will share my favorite games. Inability for you to test an App before you buy it s something I think Apple should clearly change in the near future so they eliminate the risk of people spending there money on an app they will not use.

Penultimate – When I am not carrying my Moleskine Ruled Notebook Pocket (amazon affiliate link) and I want to make a quick layout by hand I am choose to use Penultimate. It can work with your hand or a Stylus for the Ipad it allows you to create multiple notebooks.

Evernote – I started this post on Evernote and then switched over to my blog. This multiple purpose tool can sync with your pc, Iphone, Blackberry, Droid, and other devices and store various types of files.

Mindnode – I usually use it on my Mac but when I am on the go I am able to connect and organize my ideas on the Ipad and Iphone to later synchronize or share. I use this application daily for many things from writing blog posts to organizing my presentations.

Reeder – I use reeder to stay on track with the blogs I read daily. It brings my RSS Feeds into a very appealing format.

Air Display – I am so used to having a double monitor at home but when I am on the road this application turns my ipad into a second monitor.

Things – This is the app I use the most on my Mac, Ipad, and Iphone. I literally manage all my tasks on this software. It synchs with all 3 so I am up to date all time on what I need to get done.

Read It Later –  Allows me to read a post or website  at a later occasion. I save it on my browser and later it pops up on my ipad.

Keynote –  I am able to edit my presentations, read over them, create one from scratch, or present from my Ipad.

Twittelator –  Before Twitter released it’s official Ipad app I bought this one and still use it. I really get value out of the topic streams that have been integrated with the application.

Hootsuite –  I use Hootsuite to manage the multiple accounts across various platforms and from different venues. I really enjoy that I can bring my configurations from online to the Ipad and Iphone.

Social –  I use this app as my facebook client and it is full of great functionality.  Sadly I found out that it is no longer available from the Apple Store since it was pulled by Apple.

Very glad I bought before it was pulled.

Kayak –  I was able to land a great deal on our Disney vacation via this app. If you are booking flights or looking for options it is very user friendly and helpful.

Pulse News – I use this to get interesting news on many subjects. It serves as aggregator of web content in a very appealing user interface.

Kindle –  Many books have not been released on the Ibooks Apple application so I ended up buying the kindle so I could read Latino Link: Building Brands Online with Hispanic Communities and Content by @joekutchera &  Social Media ROI: Managing and Measuring Social Media Efforts in Your Organization by @thebrandbuilder. I really like the feature that sync where you last read and no matter from what device you are reading it will take you to the last page you visited if you select the option.
