I have been a misfit for way longer than I could understand the meaning of the word.

My friends AJ and Melissa Leon made me part  me of the coolest and most creative group I know. The Misfits.

AJ has curated friends from all over the world. He has brought them under the umbrella of Misfit. Misfit is a conglomerate of many of his efforts and companies.

This past Misfit Con, I had the opportunity to listen to Leoncarlo Canlas. Leoncarlo is one of the most talented violinist I have listened to, live and in person.

AJ invited him to be part of MisfitCon. Leoncarlo shared his passion and talent with us in Fargo, North Dakota.

Let’s help Leoncarlo launch his First Full Album

Leoncarlo is following his dreams and needs our help with his latest project. He has launched a kickstarter to launch his first full album.

I had the privilege to photograph Leoncarlo while at Misfit. But it was even greater to listen to the music he plays.

The only instrument I ever took lessons on was the Viola. I was given a Viola because of my husky size and ability to hold the Viola.

I have not touched one since I left Connecticut as a kid. I still appreciate listening to strings whenever I get a chance.

I can’t wait to start my morning listening to Leoncarlo when the album is produced.
