11+1 Awesome People 1 Great Conference #hispz11
People who Made Hispanicize 2011 Even More Special
I was invited to the conference by two awesome individuals the organizer of Hispanicize @papiblogger and his partner @louispagan while at SXSW. They where part of the 10 People that Enhanced my #SXSW Experience. They opened the doors to the opportunity to spend time with 11 individuals which made my experience a unique one while in Hollywood!
@katjohn
Katherine Johnson is part of the awesome Hispanicize Team working along @papiblogger to make the conference a hit. During the week prior to the conference we spent some time exchanging ideas. Her professionalism and quick responses made her win my trust and respect very quickly. Meeting her in person minutes after I arrived in the hotel made it better since she rescued me from the hotel lobby until my roomate arrived and took me to the Hispanicize War Room. I appreciate all help Katherine provided before and throughout the conference especially on that first day. In our conversations I was able to see how we think alike on many things.
@toxic_lunch
My good friend from my home town of Ponce was also the Official Photographer for the Hispanicize Conference. He did an excellent job covering the event and capturing the essence of what was going on. I really appreciate the work he did and was more than happy to have been able to spend some extra quality time after the conference. His talent, passion, and dedication at everything he does is something many of us should copy.
@teresagarza
@jacqcarly
Jaqueline Carly also known as Fitarella feel free to visit her profile on Fitarella.com . I owe Jackie a huge thank you for the continuous support she gave me during the conference at every session where I moderated and also spoke. She even made sure I ate on some occasions which really meant a lot to me. The few days around her really made me feel I can trust her. Take a look at her new project on @thepulse Network in which she will be connecting with the hispanic community even more.
@yvonnep_b
Yvonne Perez a real sweetheart. Her personal skills and ideas are incredible. She was also assisting @toxic_lunch at the event with photography and other logistics. I really appreciate the continuous support at my sessions and even the last moment proofreading for changes in my presentation. I appreciate all the help she provided and preciseness of each task she took upon. If any of you need help with getting your brand recognized feel free to contact her at @yvonnep_b or her LinkedIn Profile.
@delgadoman
Manuel Delgado was a superstar that stood out at SXSW while I listened to his questions at some of the panels at the Latin Track. He also supported my sessions by assisting and asking very practical questions which the rest of the audience could relate too. Served as our personal driver for a day or two and showed us around LA. It was great that I had the opportunity to spend more time with Manuel and get to know him better. Manuel is also the CEO of AguaMarketing.com take a look at his corporate site and say hello to him.
@alexklevine
Alex Levine is someone I have spoke with for a few months and has an awesome personality. She is bilingual and very in touch with the hispanic culture although she is not considered hispanic by many ( I do consider her hispanic). Meeting her was one of the peaks of the conference since her and I think similarly on many things. I really appreciate the support she gave me assisting some of my sessions and recommend you to visit her corporate blog where she made a Recap of Hispanicize 2011.
@shesnachomama
Margo Porras goes by the name which can be pronounced in many ways (Chese Nacho Mama, She is not your Mama, or She is Nacho’s Mama not sure which one it is). I can confirm that it was a pleasure meeting her and myself and @lucymfel really appreciated her live tweeting at my sessions. I look forward to continue learning more about Margo online.
@mllerasv
Mateo Lleras is part of the @Jetblue Team a company which I respect and admire. Mateo did meet up with me indirectly since I flew with him on the @jetblue flight from JFK to LAX. I really appreciated the conversations I had with Mateo and thanked him for all the great things the Jetblue twitter team does when I am flying. I am looking forward to talking with Mateo in the near future and I can wait on the surprises and projects @jetblue is to launch.
@eva_smith
Eva Smith shared great Tips on how to monetize my blog. I really appreciate the advice she gave me previous to the conference. It was great that I got to meet her in person. I know we took a picture or two I will be waiting for it.
@andycheco
Andy Checo is one individual who I respect and has always been very helpful online. It was great being able to shake his hand and chat with him on a few occasions looking forwards to his tweet chats.
@latinomarketing
Cristy was the moderator on my session related to twitter. She did facilitate the process and also kicked of us with info on our Bio. She also gave me valuable feedback on how I can improve in the future. Something that will be very useful in future speaking events.
I really look forward to working in the near future or collaborating with these 11+1 awesome individuals at Hispanicize. If you might have not been included in the list and you where in Hispanicize. I learned many things from all the people attending so if you are not on the list and I emailed or connected you in any other way feel free to contact me.
